Authors should ensure the originality of their content while preparing a manuscript draft. In case the authors have used the work and/or words of others this must be appropriately cited or quoted. All the articles submitted to JABB shall be screened for plagiarism using iThenticate 2.0 (online plagiarism detection software). If plagiarism is detected during the review or editorial process, the manuscript will be rejected after editorial assessment in accordance with COPE guidance. If the plagiarism is proven after publication, such manuscript(s) will be retracted from the journal and an appropriate announcement will be placed in this regard. We can also consider appropriate action against authors depending upon the seriousness of the case. It includes;

Author's right to respond:
If suspected plagiarism or significant text overlap is identified, the authors will normally be contacted and given an opportunity to provide an explanation or clarification before a final editorial decision is made. The journal will consider the authors’ response, along with the similarity report, the manuscript content, and applicable publication ethics guidance.
Self-plagiarism and redundant publication:
Authors must not submit work that substantially overlaps with their own previously published or submitted work without proper citation and disclosure. This includes duplicate or redundant publication, inappropriate text recycling, and the reuse of previously published data, tables, figures, or images without suitable citation, permission where required, and a clear explanation.
