Both the forest beats are very well known for their characteristics as dense forest. To screen the ecological status of these forests a stratified random quadrate method was employed in the study. A total of 28 tree species were recorded from Panjhora Forest Beat and 31 tree species were recorded from Sipchu Forest Beat. The work conclude that though both the forest beats belong to same forest range, they differ in pattern of diversity in tree vegetation and specially in regard to the pattern of dominance.Sarkar AK, Dey M, Mazumder M.
